Innova: Where to buy official USDGC gear

It’s weird. It’s wacky.

And I don’t care …

But USDGC is the pinnacle of the Pro Tour experience.

So much so, in fact, I’ve nabbed merch to rep the event the other 51 weeks of the year. I’m not a disc golf-only kind of guy, as I devour all kinds of sports year-round. And still, year after year, it’s Rock Hill’s high-drama offering that has me marking my calendar every single October.

Along with the fun-size candy bars, of course.

Can you see yourself in ANY of the above?

Assuming that’s the case, and you’d like to follow USDGC in style this year …

Innova East.

That’s all you need to know.

Innova West is the Innova Factory Store you’ve (likely) frequented online. Located in Rancho Cucamonga, it’s Innova’s headquarters. And while it pushes plenty of stock stuff, with Mr. Dave Dunipace in the neighborhood, it’s best known for Tour Series discs and unique, random runs.

Innova East is Disc Golf United. And wouldn’t you know it, Disc Golf United is situated snugly in Rock Hill – a 10-minute drive (Google) from Winthrop University. Disc Golf United handles Innova’s retail needs with vendors and buyers on the East Coast, as well as all USDGC tasks.

This includes official tournament gear.

You’ll want to check out the store for yourself.

However, the following are a few of my favorite items:

Innova East: USDGC Hawaiian Flat-Bill Rope Hat

Also, I kid you not …

You can straight-up rent a private yurt for on-course comfort.

Insanity.

And while they’re not technically USDGC-branded shirts, for years, Innova fanboys (and girls) have rocked those butt-ugly, flower-power performance jerseys Innova East occasionally puts out. There are four new versions on the site; you’ll see them all over Winthrop Gold, for sure.

Also worth noting is the special relationship USDGC has with the Champion Roc. Each year, runs of USDGC-specific Rocs are produced to help fund the event. Furthermore, after a winner is crowned, a commemorative Roc is produced, even if the winner isn’t sponsored by Innova.

Strange, but cool.

Your best bet for nabbing one of these rarer Rocs is in-person AT the tourney. Granted, when the event is over, you’ll usually see some posted on Disc Golf United, as well. To see how unique yours is, the USDGC site has a page dedicated to tracking the rarity of their Rocs – click here.

Obviously, it’s the action, history and prestige that makes USDGC matter …

But man, the gear’s not half-bad, either.
