The most versatile mini in disc golf

Be honest …

Have you ever gotten anything good in a player’s pack?

If you’ve played disc golf at the competitive (and amateur) level for any amount of time, you’re familiar with the standard stuff: t-shirts, granola bars and perhaps a disc or two. And while more plastic is never a bad thing, more often than not, these discs are bound for the Play-It-Again bin.

A few years back, though, I DID  get something worthwhile.

And at the time, I couldn’t have cared less about it …

It was a mini marker.

DGPT: The 2023 Beaver State Fling

Pretty stupid, right?

Wrong.

Behold: The Infinite Stress Mini.

If ever there was a name to describe my putting game, “Infinite Stress” would be it. Stationed about two hours south of Infinite Discs’ headquarters, the booming retailer dominates my local disc golf scene. I couldn’t care less about the Infinite Discs branding, though …

Green Splatter: The Infinite Stress Mini

It’s the multi-faceted value of an otherwise simple (and forgetful) item that makes it dominate. I won’t spruce it up with loads of marketing speak or anything: It’s a foam mini marker.

But a PDGA-legal one, at that.

Here’s what I love about it:

  • It’s capable of marking a lie like nobody’s business – duh.
  • It’s one of those squeezable, stress-relief toys after a sucky putt.
  • It’s a knee-pad when you need one, though you’ll need another mini.
  • It’s great for playing catch in the house with the kiddos during coverage.

* Note: For the third bullet, remember: You can’t contact your mini – that includes the knee.

Again, I know this might seem utterly idiotic

Green Splatter: The Infinite Stress Mini – Flexibility

And that’s because it (probably) is.

But I’ve used this mini for years during good rounds, bad rounds and plenty of rounds somewhere in-between. Though I got it for free, when it bites the bullet, I’ll nab another

Worth it.

  1. Dude, I don’t know why, but I have never used a mini ever. If I ever take a mini, it ends up sitting in my pocket or my bag and doesn’t get used. Maybe this one would be more useful though.

    • Eh, if you never use one, not that much, probably …

It’s great, because it doubles as a kneepad.

And it’s just fun to play with during tournament rounds, assuming you’re a fidgeter.

If you read the reviews on the Infinite Discs website of the mini, LOTS of people love it …

      Not just me. Haha.
